Longtime New Mexico State University basketball coach Lou Henson and his wife, Mary, attended the NMSU Alumni Reception in Santa Fe Friday, Jan. 27. The event served as an unof.cial kickoff to Las Cruces Day in Santa Fe, and gave alumni in the region a chance to greet NMSU of.cials, including President Barbara Couture.

The first public input meeting was given to the new outdoor lighting ordinance Tuesday, Jan. 31, with no one taking a shine to the latest attempt to revise restrictions to outdoor lighting.
