Police arrested a Las Cruces man suspected of shoplifting more than $900 worth of merchandise from the Sears department store on Monday. Dwayne Grandison, 35, of the 1000 block of Hatfield Road, is charged with a fourth-degree felony count of shoplifting. PETE’S SEAT New Mexico State University Chancellor Dan Arvizu joins the new custom bronze Pistol Pete bench sculpture July 25 outside Corbett Center Student Union. The idea for a bronzed mascot came from the Horned Frog statue on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
