The Centennial High School Marching Band will have its fourth-annual Play All Day fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The students will play at the Farmers’ & Crafts Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. before moving onto Mesilla, where they will play until 4 p.m. Finally they will play in front of NMSU’s Pan American Center before the Aggie basketball game, for which they will perform the national anthem along with the NMSU Pride Marching Band and will play with the NMSU band until halftime.
“This is the fourth year that the band has held the Play All Day event,” said CHS Band Director Philip Ramos. “We are so excited to be able to share the wonderful music that our award-winning band students perform with the community. Band has such a positive effect on the lives of our students. We want to thank all of the people who support our program by playing for them in a fun and unique way.”
The event is organized by the non-profit CHS band booster club as one of their key fundraisers to support the band program at CHS. The band will use the funds raised to compete at competitions throughout the southwest.
