ATOMIC AGGIES AND SPACEPORT AMERICA

Agreement takes flight

Posted

A Sept. 11 groundbreaking on Research Park Circle officially opened the office of the New Mexico Spaceport Authority and cemented its deal with New Mexico State University. As the facility filled with guests, Spaceport CEO Dan Hicks and NMSU President John Floros cut the ribbon and signed an agreement for the two entities to work together for the benefit of the students at the university.

“Right now, this is about the two entities coming together,” Floros said. “They are going to take our students in for internships and we are going to provide the students for those internships. We are going to work together with our faculty to do some research and brainstorm and collaborate.”
