City launches biking trails guide

The Las Cruces Gravel Adventure Field Guide (GAFG), which highlights the biking trails of southern New Mexico, will be officially available March 27, the City of Las Cruces said in a news release. It costs $11. For orders and pre-orders, visit graveladventurefieldguide.com.

Visit Las Cruces Destination Experience Sales Manager Hilary Dutcher organized efforts to add the area to the Gravel Adventure Field Guide’s growing list of guides that showcase gravel biking destinations across the United States, the city said, connecting the publication with local bicyclists to explore popular biking routes throughout Las Cruces and Doña Ana County.”

Ten routes are featured in the local guide as a curated collection of varying distances and difficulty levels, the city said. It includes detailed illustrated maps with GPS routes and art, stories and details about local attractions.

“In addition to detailed route information, the guide provides important safety recommendations for desert trekking and an introduction to our community’s vibrant culture,” Dutcher said. “The business section promotes local businesses for visitors needing anything from gear to gifts.”
