BOOK SIGNING

Day of the book signing

Posted

Musician Adam Amador performs at Ann Murdy’s book signing for “On the Path of Marigolds: Living Traditions of Mexico’s Day of the Dead,” Saturday, Nov. 2, at Casa de Camino Real Bookstore on South Tornillo Street. To Amador’s right is an altar honoring mothers built by bookstore owner and award-winning artist Denise Chávez. The altar honored, among others, Chávez’s mother, Delfina, her sister, Faride, and her grandmother, María Antonia de Jesús Luján Rede. “They were essential and authentic women,” Chávez says on Facebook.

Santa Fe author/photographer Ann Murdy signs a copy of her book.
