New restaurant coming to Las Cruces

Posted

Las Cruces will soon have a new restaurant.

Houston-based Salata Salad Kitchen plans to open a Las Cruces restaurant in the near future, All Points Public Relations Associate Lillian Broad said in an email to the Bulletin.

Salata, which has more than 80 locations nationwide, features built-to-order salads and wraps, Broad said.

The restaurant’s main goal “isn’t to help customers lose weight or achieve a health goal, but to make healthy eating more accessible by providing familiar fresh ingredients, delicious homemade dressings and a welcoming environment,” she said.

The Salata concept was started by two immigrant brothers-in-law in the downtown Houston tunnels before growing strategically with franchise partners in Texas, Georgia, Southern California, Louisiana and North Carolina. The restaurant’s food is “designed to be for everyone, Broad said, with no complex or intimidating ingredients among its 50-plus toppings.”
