The City of Las Cruces Economic Development Department and New Mexico Workforce Connection co-sponsored a job fair May 12 at the Las Cruces Convention Center. Sixty companies, agencies and nonprofits from Las Cruces, Silver City, Alamogordo, El Paso and other cities were on hand representing education, law enforcement and security, government, public safety, military, insurance, banking, construction, agriculture, food service and other industries, to meet with people exploring full- and part-time job opportunities. The event included workshops for employers interested in starting apprenticeship programs.
