A Children’s Theatre has live performances of ‘Sleepy Hollow’

Just in time for Halloween, A Children’s Theatre of the Mesilla Valley (ACT) will present live performances of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” at 7 p.m. Fridays, Oct. 22 and 29 and at 1 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 23 and 30 at Rio Grande Theatre, 211 N. Main St. Downtown.

The show is directed by Bianca Castro, Mike Guitar and Hunter Campbell. It features a large cast and crew of local children of all ages.

Tickets are $8 at the door. Call ACT for information about live streaming.

ACT is a nonprofit based in Las Cruces and been providing theater and film experiences for young people since 1993. ACT is funded in part by New Mexico Arts, a division of the state Department of Cultural Affairs; the National Endowment for the Arts; and donations from local businesses.

ACT held auditions Oct. 14 for its next show, “A Seussified Christmas Carol.” The show will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 and at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at Rio Grande Theatre.
