ARTS IN THE COMMUNITY

A faire for the season at St. Andrews

Posted

St. Andrews Episcopal Church hosts its annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Faire 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the church, 518 N. Alameda Blvd.

Local artists and craftsmen will exhibit and sell their artwork and products to the public during the faire. Food vendors will offer hot dogs, soup, baked goods, homemade chile, loaded baked potatoes and more. There will also be live music.

There is no admission charge, and everyone is welcome.

The faire was started by church members in 2007 and is held annually, with emphasis on original artwork and hand-crafted items appropriate for all seasons, especially the Christmas holidays.

Paintings, sculpture, handicrafts and fabric items created by some 40 artists will be for sale, including unique items not available anywhere else.  All work is handmade by the exhibiting artists.

A raffle held at the end of each day of the faire will include artwork donated by the exhibiting artists plus items donated by Las Cruces merchants.
