ACTion Programs for Animals selected for 50-state tour fundraiser

Posted

ACTion Programs for Animals (APA) has been selected to be part of the Jordan’s Way 50-state tour to help raise awareness and funds needed for veterinary care for rescue animals.

Jordan’s Way is a nonprofit that hosts four-hour, live Facebook fundraisers at animal rescues and shelters across the country. Founded by Kris Rotonda to honor his best friend, a shelter dog named Jordan, Rotonda and his team have helped more than 250 shelters in more than 40 states raise more than $250 million since January. Rotonda and Jordan’s Way have been featured on the Hallmark Channel, the Dodo and on local news stations across America. You can learn more about them on their website, www.JordansWayTour.com.

Rotonda and his team will be visiting APA, 537 N. Solano Drive, 6-10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10.

“We’d love to have the Las Cruces community be a part of the fun,” said APA Executive Director Michel Meunier. “We are just getting started on our fundraising goal of $15,000 and still have a lot of ground to cover. That’s where your support can play a huge role. We hope people in our community will consider contributing to our cause. A gift of any donation will make a difference.”

You can donate directly to the APA online fundraiser at  www.facebook.com/donate/1391423937939793/7186900277990411. You can also stop by the adoption center during the live feed and make a donation. And, you can make a pre-pledge business/donor match, agreeing to match monetary milestones during the live feed.

Donations will be announced live on air during the Facebook feed.

For more information, leave a message at 575-571-4654, text 575-644-0505 or email mail@apalascruces.org.

APA is offering adoptions at 50 percent off – with the exception of small dogs – until Jan. 1, 2022 as part of its Home for the Holidays special. To meet APA’s adoptable animals, visit the adoption center 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday or call 575-571-4654 to schedule an appointment.

The adoption center will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
