ACTion Programs for Animals (APA) of Las Cruces will resume its monthly low-cost microchip and vaccination clinics starting Saturday, Aug. 14. The clinic will be held 8 to 10 a.m. at the APA adoption center, 537 N. Solano Drive.
The following services will be offered at $15 each during the clinic: microchip; Bordetella vaccine; DAPP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza and Parvo) vaccine; FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukope) vaccine; and rabies vaccine.
“We’re extremely happy to begin offering affordable clinics to the community again,” said APA Executive Director Michel Meunier. “Animal welfare is a priority for us at APA, and getting your pets vaccinated and chipped is very important when it comes to their health and safety.”
APA is a progressive animal welfare organization seeking to improve the quality of life for companion animals in Doña Ana County and greatly reduce the number of unwanted animals impounded and euthanized at the municipal shelter. Since May 2012, more than 5,000 animals have been rescued.
