AGAVE ARTIST GALLERY

Agave Gallery features art by Ken, Betty Krebbs

Posted

Agave Artist Gallery has two threads woven together, Ken and Betty Krebbs.

They're unique strands of different intertwining fibers. Ken is from Texas and Betty is from New York, but both grew up with painting mothers and creative siblings. They met in El Paso while working in the display department at The Popular Dry Goods department store.

Throughout their nearly 50 years together, art is always in their lives.

Sometimes the weave is plain, and other times more intricate patterns emerge. Ken focuses on oil painting while Betty enjoys pastels and watercolor, working on intensely independent projects yet sharing time in their studio. Now they look forward to showing art together, creating a new pattern in the fabric of their lives.

Agave Artist gallery is located at 2250 Calle de San Albino in Mesilla. It is accessible through Josefina's patio. The four-room gallery opened in August 2019 and features the work of a variety of local and regional artists in a range of media.

Hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
