‘Almost, Maine’ opens; ‘Laughing Wild’ finishes run this weekend

Las Cruces Community Theatre’s (LCCT) production of “Almost Maine,” written by John Cariani and directed by Brandon Brown, opens Friday, Oct. 8, for a three-week run at LCCT, 313 N. Main St. Downtown. The cast includes Nora Brown, left, and Melis Derya White. Other cast members are McKensi Alexis Cabot and Rhiannon Michelle Hardin.

“Almost, Maine” is “actually nine short plays set in the fictional ‘unorganized territory’ of Almost, Maine,” Brandon Brown said. “They're basically about love and relationships.”

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-9, 15-16 and 22-23; and 2 p.m. performances Sundays, Oct. 10, 17 and 24. Tickets are $17 for adults; $14 for senior citizens, students and military; and $10 for children.

‘Laughing Wild’ closes

Playwright Christopher Durang’s “Laughing Wild” closes this Sunday at Black Box Theatre, 430 N. Main St. Downtown. Final performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7; 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Oct. 8-9 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10. Tickets are $15 regular admission, $12 for students and for seniors over age 65 and $10 for the Thursday, Oct. 7, show only.
