LCHS advances to championship

Posted

The Las Cruces High School Bulldawgs defeated Volcano Vista 47-31 Thursday night in front of a nonexistent crowd at the Pit in Albuquerque. Attendance was restricted to players, coaches, officials and facility operators, due to the coronavirus threat. The victory puts LCHS in the 5A state championship game which, at press time, is still scheduled to go on, again in front of no crowd, at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Per the NMAA: Although spectators will not be able to attend the games in person, all semifinals and finals will be broadcast live online via the NFHS Network (www.nfhsnetwork.com). A subscription fee of $10.99 will provide access to every state tournament game. The NMAA staff will also provide frequent updates via its various social media platforms throughout each contest.
The NMAA’s website is www.nmact.org.
