Aquatic Center pools to be resurfaced

Posted

The activity and warm water pools at the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center will close for resurfacing during November, the city announced.

Resurfacing of the shells for the two pools will commence on Monday, Nov. 4, and continue through November with normal operations planned to resume on Thursday, Dec. 5, the city said. The shells have a typical service life of 10 years, the city said, disclosing that resurfacing was overdue.

Nearby, the Las Cruces Natatorium at 1405 E. Hadley Avenue will be open to the public for extended hours.

The work was approved under the Parks and Recreation budget for 2024-25, with additional maintenance and an annual inspection also planned.

More information is available from the Aquatic Center at 575-541-2782.
