As a response to COVID-19, NMSU’s Arrowhead Center and the City of Las Cruces have partnered to offer a business accelerator that incorporates a tailored curriculum geared to address transitioning any business to online spaces and focus on recovery from COVID-19.
This accelerator will help participants explore potential new markets through a customer discovery process and have access to a network of experts in a variety of fields for free advising.
The idea, organizers said is to provide a method by which business owners can gain a whole team of consultants, one-on-one sessions, and connections to industry.
Expert advisors for the accelerator include David King, financial projections and modeling; Elizabeth Mata, protecting and selling ideas; Leah Messina, digital marketing and social media management; and Bill Smith, accounting, entrepreneurship and local business.
The four are among a wide range of free enterprise advisors available through the Arrowhead Network. Others include David Abraham, Travis Alsup, Jaime Bari, Micaela Brown, David Cherson, John Cho, John Cousins, Cynthia de Lorenzi, Marcella Dominguez, Chris Dunn, Seth Gardenswartz, Brad Gordon, Charles Harb, Emily James, Steven Khuong, Monica Le Baron, Christine Logan, Frank Macha, Scott Maloney, Steve M. McLary, Bobbi Kay Nelson, Luke Nogales, James Ortiz, Sean O’Shea, Beto Pallares, Arianna Parsons, Edward Pines, Jerry Prochazka, Patricio Regadas, JR Rosillo, Maricela Sandoval, Eric Lee Smith, Francine Sommer, Drew Tulchin, Michael Usrey, Jeff Villalobos, Garrett Weinzieri, Dick Welter, Howard Wernow, Daniel Ziesmer and Chris Ziomek.
The accelerator will provide attendees with business support, entrepreneurial education and peer support and networking.
