Art show benefits family of late artist

Posted

A showing art by the late artist and graphic designer Erik Angel will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Sassy Grass Juice Bar and Lounge, 3100 W Picacho Ave suite # 2, next door to Valley Pizza.

The suggested donation at the door is $10. Proceeds will go to Angel’s family.

The art show will include pieces of Angel’s original artwork, along with the sale of prints of his work, along with a raffle of Angel’s painting “Light Changes Our Colors.”

The artist, who died at his home in Ruidoso in March after a long illness, created more than 1,000 pieces of art, including drawings of many famous people, both real and fictitious, according to a post on Instagram.
