Spooky Splash Movie Night

The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department continues its Spooky Splash Movie Night  with Monster House, the 2006 animated family film about a group of teens who discover that the house next door is a living, breathing monster.

Zoo Boo

The City of Alamogordo presents its annual trick-or-treat extravaganza at the Alameda Park Zoo, with tons of candy, mouthwatering treats from food vendors, and a costume contest with prizes awarded in several categories.

Foundlings

Las Cruces transplant Dina D’Argo’s first exhibition in the Valley combines abstract with realism, and traditional painting techniques with three-dimensional forms, in a distinctive ethereal style infused with magic yet fully grounded in nature.

Foundlings kicks off with an opening reception from noon-3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at Rio Grande Fine Art/Picture Frame Outlet, 382 S. Walnut St., Las Cruces. Info: 575-526-4048



Zombie Walk Las Cruces

Started in 2010 as a publicity stunt, this annual event has grown to include vendors, live music, contests, and of course hundreds of locals and visitors dressed in zombie attire shuffling along Main Street in one big undead horde of terror.

Tularosa Wine & Art Festival

Celebrate harvest season in the foothills when the Rotary Club of Tularosa presents its annual festival, featuring fine New Mexico wines, local artists displaying their works, live music by local musicians, food, drink, games and more.

Las Cruces Symphony Pops 1 Concert

The Las Cruces Symphony gets into the spirit of the season with a “Dia de los Muertos” theme, presenting such spirited selections as Saint Saens’ Danse Macabre, Op. 40; Sibelius’ Valse Triste, Op. 44 No. 1; La Llorona, and more.

The public is invited to help support the NMSU Jewelry and Metalsmithing program, while holiday shopping for unique handmade jewelry, with profits going to support the activities of the students and acquire new equipment and tools for their studio.
