The Boys and Girls Club of Las Cruces is asking for toy donations for its annual Christmas party for children who are club members and their families.
“Our goal every year is to provide a new, unwrapped toy or gift to our members,” said Boys and Girls Club Director of Operations and Programs Joel Montoya. “Our members are school aged, so we ask for items for kids and teens (both boys and girls) such as board games, toys, sports balls, Legos, headphones, gift cards, etc. We allow our members to choose a gift the night of our party. We also accept donations to fund any extra gifts that we see are needed,” he said.
Gifts and donations can be dropped off at the club site, 330 W. Las Cruces Ave., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Donations can also be accepted over the phone.

The Boys and Girls Club has been providing service to youth in Las Cruces since 1963. The club provides daily programs that emphasize character and leadership development, education and career enhancement, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation. Serving youth ages 5-18, the club provides a safe environment for youth to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals; life-enhancing programs and character development experiences; and hope and opportunity.
