Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) will hold its annual Match Day ceremony, “a major milestone for fourth-year medical students across the nation,” at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, at New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road, BCOM said in a news release.
During the event, BCOM students “will find out where they will pursue their residency training after graduation as well as what specialty they will train in,” the news release said.
It is BCOM’s third Match Day ceremony and the first ever to be held in person, as the 2020 and 2021 events were held virtually because of the pandemic.
In addition to fourth-year medical students, attendees will include the students’ family members and friends, BCOM leadership, faculty and staff. The event will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/BurrellCollege and www.facebook.com/events/1276442729514789/.
BCOM was established in 2013.
