Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is pleased to announce Joe Butler as Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Butler is currently dean of Science, Engineering and Mathematics at the college. He will oversee the position until a nationwide search concludes to fill the position permanently. Butler replaces Dr. Charles Abasa-Nyarko who departed DACC earlier this month.

Mr. Butler will provide leadership for academic programs and personnel at the college. He will oversee five academic divisions and several academic support units. In this role, he will coordinate and oversee curriculum and instruction, academic policy and procedure, and faculty hiring and support.

His decade of experience in central administration roles will assist the college in the interim. Mr. Butler has been with DACC for a little more than three years.
