KEEP LAS CRUCES BEAUTIFUL PROGRAM

Call for volunteers for 'Team Up to Clean Up' City Council District 5 event

Posted

Volunteers are needed! Get rid of weeds, trash, junk, graffiti and other debris in your neighborhood the Team Up to Clean Up way!

The Parks & Recreation Department’s Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB) program will conduct another Team Up to Clean Up event from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 18, 2022, in City Council District 5, represented by Councilor Becky Corran.

Roll-off containers, provided by Las Cruces Utilities Solid Waste, will be available at two locations for District 5 residents to utilize during event hours: Sonoma Ranch Boulevard and Thurmond Road, and Bataan Memorial West and Holman Road.

Las Cruces Police Department Codes Enforcement and KLCB also will have supply stations at both locations. They will provide equipment, supplies, specific clean up locations, and any additional information. Recruit neighbors and friends to join in efforts to maintain property, beginning where you live.

Anyone living in City Council District 5 can contribute to the city’s beautification by joining KLCB to help clean up their neighborhood!

More than two tons of trash was collected during a recent Team Up to Clean Up event in May 2022.
