Cat’s Bag: Animal rescue group offers reusable bags as fundraiser

The cat is out of the bag! Well, sort of. In the case of these bags from The Cat’s Meow, the feline is actually on the front. The reusable shopping bags (remember, the city banned the use of plastic bags in January) are available when you make a donation to The Cat’s Meow. “We’d love to see these bags being used all over town,” the nonprofit said in an email. The bags are available at The Cat’s Meow, 2211 N. Mesquite St. Noting that its vet bills from September 2021 to February 2022 totaled more than $112,662, the charity organization said it is working on other fundraisers and welcomes donations of any amount.
