City begins small business walk-in sessions

Posted

Staff members with the City of Las Cruces’ Community Development and Economic Development departments will host open forum, or “walk-in” sessions 3-4:30 p.m. every Wednesday in the Community Development Department, room 700 at City Hall, 700 N. Main St., the city said in a news release.

The first open forum will be held Wednesday, March 1.

Information will be provided on zoning regulations, building tenant improvements, application processing for permits and business registrations, along with project development assistance and general discussion on business plans, the city said.

“This small business forum intent is to help those who have business development questions about how to start in getting their doors open for business operations,” said Community Development Director Larry Nichols. “The Economic Development Department team, led by Director Elizabeth Teeters, will bring their enthusiasm in contributing their expertise to the forum.”
