City offers free 3-day Thanksgiving Break Day Camp

The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department will host a free, three-day, “Thanksgiving Break Day Camp” that will fill the Thanksgiving holiday break with creative and innovative opportunities for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, the city said in a news release.

The camp will be held 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 22-24, at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.

Space is limited. Registration is first-come, first-served, the city said.

Registration for the camp began Wednesday, Nov. 10 and continues online at http://www.las-cruces.org/play.

 Registrations will also be accepted at these locations during the following times:

  • Parks and Recreation Department Administrative office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
  • Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

No reservations by phone will be accepted.
