City’s summer recreation lottery registration continues

The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department is accepting summer recreation program lottery registration applications through Saturday, May 6.

Registration is available online at www.las-cruces.org/play and at the following locations during regular business hours:

  • Parks and Recreation Administrative Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday.
  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell St., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
  • Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave., 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Saturday.
  • Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

Registration is determined by lottery selection only, the city said in a news release. Participants who are selected for a site will be notified Wednesday, May 10, by email. Winning lottery numbers will be posted at the sites listed and online at www.lascruces.gov/1906/Summer-Recreation-Program.

Program dates and times are 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. June 7-July 14 at Camino Real Middle School, 2961 N. Roadrunner Parkway; Sierra Middle School, 1700 E. Spruce Ave. (the camp will move to Meerscheidt Recreation Center July 7-14); Zia Middle School, 1300 W. University Ave.; grades kindergarten-fifth grade (2022-23 school year).

No telephone registrations will be accepted.
