Who is Shawna Pfeiffer? Your other columnists, such as Walt Rubel and Sarah Smith, give some information about them, such as how to get in touch with them or what they do.
Pfeiffer offers us no such notice. Which is her privilege. Of course, if I were to spout the nonsense she did in her column running Kamala Harris down {“Madame President? Not this time, please,” Oct. 18) I wouldn't want to tell people about me either.
What is her problem? It seems the problem is that Harris has the nerve to run against Donald Trump and do it without using Trump's tricks like lying with one breath and insulting with the next.
She's learned Trump's lessons well. She presents as facts that a Harris presidency will give us "crushing inflation, increased crime and World War III." That Trump promised us that if we elected Biden in 2020 and crime has come down; there has been no World War III; and inflation has cooled means nothing to Trump, or apparently, Ms. Pfeiffer.
Also, her premise that if Harris is elected and people don't like her, it will be harder for a woman to get elected in the future is sheer nonsense. The fact that we elected a president who ignored the Constitution and tried to sabotage an election for his benefit did not stop us from electing another. First Nixon, then Trump.
So please, voters, don't be confused by Pfeiffer's fantasies. Vote your conscience and don't be swayed by MAGA bull.
