CITY OF LAS CRUCES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Community Development Department expands customer hours

Posted

The City of Las Cruces Community Development Department will begin extended hours for residents and customers on Monday, April 25, 2022.

The Community Development Department, inside City Hall, 700 N. Main St., will now be open 50 hours a week, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday to provide customer service availability to process a multitude of business transactions. The Community Development Department lobby, online services and telephone communications will be available.

The extended hours are a result of addressing and recognizing customer service delivery as it relates to the Community Development Department’s Strategic Business Plan 2022.

“Las Cruces is experiencing accelerated activity in development and construction activity during the past two years, and the development sector of the community will benefit having extended office hours enhancing customer service,” said Larry Nichols, Community Development Director.

For about the past five years, the Community Development Department was open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. Those hours also were implemented to provide added hours of service for Community Development Department customers.
