The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM) announced in July that 75 high school and college students have been awarded scholarships that are managed by CFSNM.
CFSNM has awarded more than $53,000 and 34 scholarships to more than 75 students in southern New Mexico. The 2022 Jon Wynne Spring Scholarship alone provided $21,450 to 42 students.
“I want to thank the Legarreta Family and CFSNM for their generosity in providing me with (the
Alexis Legarreta Memorial) Scholarship,” said Augustina Rodriguez, a graduate of Mayfield High School.
“Since I come from a family of very little money,” Rodriguez said, “this will help me reach my career goal of becoming a nurse.
