Tacoma, Washington native Michelle Kuiv, who received the Carol Troeller Second Chance Scholarship, came to Las Cruces to continue her education and earn a master’s degree in business administration. “With this degree, I will continue to build my personal training business and be able to help more lives,” Kuiv said. “This scholarship will allow me to concentrate at excelling in school and athletics during my time at New Mexico State University. Receiving this scholarship is both exciting and a weight lifted off my shoulders as continued education can often become quite expensive.”
