Community Foundation hosts July 21 100 Who Give; Community Conversations coming in August

Posted

The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM) kicks off “100 Who Give Las Cruces” with a Feb. 23 event, with events in May, August and November to follow, CFSNM said in its January Community Chronicle.

With donations of $100 each for 100 different people, the goal is to raise at least $10,000 for local charities – a “huge local impact,” the foundation said.

Last year, the 100 Who Give committee and CFSNM raised $12,300 that helped to decrease food insecurity, impact local arts, support youth in foster care and assist “a young girl in realizing her dream of supporting her community,” CFSNM said.

The requested donation for each event is $100.

Here are the 2023 100 Who Give events:

  • 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23: Casa de Tobacco and Cigar Lounge, 2460 S. Locust St., suite F;
  • Thursday, May 18: Icebox Picacho Brewery and Taproom, 2825 W. Picacho Ave.;
  • Thursday, Aug. 24: Grounded, 300 N. Main St. downtown; and
  • Thursday, Nov. 9: CFSNM building, 2640 El Paseo Road.
