Posted

Doña Ana County Little Libraries and Pantries (DACLLP) is organizing a Little Libraries and Pantries Mass Build community event is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at NM Lions Operation KidSight, 1501 N. Solano Drive.

Individuals, organizations and businesses can acquire a little library unit for a donation of $40 or more and by volunteering at least two hours at the Mass Build event to help with the assembly of the units, DACLLP said.

Some tools will be available at the event. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own tools.

Groups, organizations and individuals who receive the little libraries will be responsible for their maintenance, DACLLP said.

DACLLP is funded by donations and community volunteers, it said. Contributions during the Mass Build event will be used to purchase materials for the build and support the mission of the DACLLP.
