Crews have begun construction on the I-25 University Project. Work got underway on Jan. 2.
During the first phase, through about Thursday, Jan. 16, crews will reconstruct the shoulder on southbound I-25 from south of University Ave. to south of Wells Street/Geothermal Drive.
During construction, southbound I-25 will be reduced to one lane in this area.
Motorists are advised to expect delays – particularly during morning and afternoon rush hours – and to exercise caution in construction zones. Moving violations in the construction zones will carry double the normal fines.
Regular work hours will be Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. All work is scheduled weather-permitting and is subject to change without notice.
