Bulletin report

The city council interviewed three candidates Friday, April 29 in a search to replace retiring City Manager Robert Garza, but has decided to keep the search open and seek more applications.

The next cycle of applications and interviews will likely take about six weeks, Garza reports.

“My last day at the city will be Friday May 27,” Garza said via email. “The city council will vote on a resolution at their May 16 regular meeting to place Daniel Avila, Assistant City Manager/COO as interim City Manager effective May 28 for a period of three months (to allow transition time for a selected candidate).”
