County Clerk’s office hosts training for election officials beginning Oct. 4

The Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office will host trainings for election officials for the 2022 general election through Nov. 7 at the Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd., County Clerk Amanda Lopez Askin said in a news release.

The dates for early voting trainings are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, and Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Election-day trainings are

  • 5:30 p.m.: Fridays, Oct. 7 and 21; Tuesday, Oct. 25; Thursday, Oct. 27; and Wednesday, Nov. 2;
  • 11 a.m.: Saturdays, Oct. 15 and 29;
  • 1 p.m. (if needed): Monday, Nov. 7

Among other things, officials will receive training in opening and closing the polls, setting up voting equipment, and issuing ballots.

All trainings are open to the public, Lopez Askin said.

Election Day is Nov. 8, 2022.
