The Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science, 411 N. Main St., presents, “Desert Safety Workshop: Hiking Awareness and Safety,” presented by guest speakers from Mesilla Valley Search and Rescue, at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022.

This presentation will be in the classroom at the Museum of Nature & Science. Registration is required. Registration ends on March 9, 2022. To register for this program, please email education@las-cruces.org or call 575/522-3120.

Learn how to stay safe while enjoying the outdoors. Guest speakers from the Mesilla Valley Search and Rescue team will give insight on some of the common mistakes outdoor enthusiasts make that can turn a fun day of recreation into a rescue mission.
