New Mexico State University’s new art building, Devasthali Hall, officially opened to large crowds on Friday, Feb. 28. The building was showcased, along with a new exhibit focusing on motherhood. Among those in attendance were NMSU Regent Ammu Devasthali and her husband, Rama (inset), who donated $2.8 million for the construction project. Devasthali Hall replaces Williams Hall, which originally was a gymnasium, and has been razed from the parcel immediately east of the new facility.
