Early voting begins Tuesday, Oct. 8 for the 2019 election during which Las Cruces voters will choose the mayor, three members of the city council, presiding municipal judge; two members of the Las Cruces Public Schools Board of Education; and three members of the Doña Ana Soil and Water Conservation Board of Supervisors. Also on the ballot will be a $16 million general obligation bond for Doña Ana Community College and a $10 million three-million levy question for Las Cruces Public Schools.
Early voting takes place Oct. 8-Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd. The government building is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.
Early voting at voting convenience centers throughout the county will begin Saturday, Oct. 19 and continue through Saturday, Nov. 2. Hours at the alternate locations will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.

Absentee voting will be Oct. 8-31. Applications are available at NMVote.org through Oct. 31. Absentee ballots must be received in the county clerk’s office by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to be counted.
Voters can register to vote and cast a ballot on the same day during early voting. Same-day voter registration will be available at Las Cruces City Hall, Doña Ana community College – Sunland Park Center and the county clerk’s office. A photo ID is required. Online, state Motor Vehicle Department and third-party registration will close Oct. 8.
Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. 40 voting convenience centers will be open across the county 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on election day.
