Gallery 925 has February For the Love of Art Month show

Gallery 925 in the Mesquite Historic District will host “For the Love of Art – Painting and Photography Show” Friday, Feb. 3-Sunday, March 5, the gallery said in a news release.

The exhibition will feature works by these artists and photographers: Diane Alire, Diana Ayres, Nancy Frost Begin, Emmitt Booher, Savannah and Vikki Cordova, Kyle Cunningham, Linda Gendall, Shaunna Foster, Matt Henn, Candice Hogan, Cassandra Lockwood, Bonnie Rice, Jim Rodgers, Storm Sermay, David Sorensen, David Stevenson, Mel Stone, Leslie Toombs, Victor Whitmill, Jean Wilkey, Nolan Winkler and Gail Wodzin.

“The gallery is celebrating February with a show that presents a selection of some of the best New Mexico painters and photographers,” said Gallery 925 owner and artist Diane Alire, including “beautiful works of art created using a variety of painting mediums: watercolor, acrylic, oils and mixed media. The photography pieces feature high-quality, limited-edition prints on paper using archival processes. We will also have images printed on metal and photogravure.”

The show’s opening reception is 1-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the gallery and will include refreshments and artists participating in the show. First Friday (Feb. 3) also will feature free trolley rides, 5-8 p.m., with stops at participating galleries in the Mesquite Historic District.

Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Artists talks will be given 1-2 p.m. every Sunday.

Gallery 925, 925 N. Mesquite St., is located near the intersection of Mesquite and Spruce Avenue.
