The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department is offering plots in the Tony Gomez Community Garden, 2250 S. Espina St., Las Esperanzas Community Garden, 341 E. Picacho Ave., and the Sage Community Garden, 6121 Reynolds Drive, to anyone who would like to lease a plot, the city said in a news release. Each person is allowed two plots. Beginning in April, people will be allowed to register for a third plot if any are available. Plots will be available through the end of the calendar year. Cost of a plot is $15 per year. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted as payment. Sign-up and pay for plots online at www.las-cruces.org/play. Click on the Online Registration link. To sign-up and pay in person, call 575-541-2550 to schedule an appointment. Bring a form of personal identification to register.
