GIRL SCOUTS OF THE DESERT SOUTHWEST

Girl Scouts selling nuts, candy and magazine subscriptions

Posted

Cookies are Girl Scouts’ most famous fundraiser, but they also sell candy, nuts and magazine subscriptions.

Now through Nov. 18, Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest will be seeking orders for Ashdon Farms nuts and chocolates and M2 Media magazine subscriptions, the group said in a news release.

The fall product fundraiser supplies funds to Girl Scout troops to purchase supplies, take virtual field trips and participate in special online program, and to help other local organizations. There is also the option to donate items for $6 through the Care to Share program. Donations received through online direct-ship sales go to the USO and service members overseas. Donations received via in person and Girl Scout-delivered orders will go to local organizations chosen by the Girl Scout troop or service units.

Girl Scouts is open to any girl in grades K-12. Girls are invited to join virtual troop meetings, participate in program challenges, make new friends and inspire others by joining a troop. Girls can join virtually for free and then join a troop in person at a later date.
