In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Association of Las Cruces is hosting the Girls … Leveling Up Conference, Wednesday, March 8, at New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum (NMFRHM), 4100 Dripping Springs Road. With speakers from local businesses, government, nonprofits and higher education, the conference will bring together 50 girls from each Las Cruces Public Schools middle school and high school to help them “to know their value, create strong boundaries and see themselves in the women of our community,” said The Association co-founders Marci Dickerson and Sumer Rose-Nolen. Speakers will include former Doña Ana County Manager and City of Sunland Park Manager Julia Brown, Prados Beauty of Las Cruces founder and CEO Cece Meadows and NMSU Nusenda Center for Financial Capability Program Director Marci Salinas.
