The Doña Ana County Humane Society (DACHS) and Hacienda de Mesilla are hosting a virtual Yappy Hour Booze and Chews fundraiser to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, via Zoom.
Attendees will receive a recipe card with the ingredients needed to make the perfect Old Fashioned cocktail. The Zoom link will include an invitation to the virtual Yappy Hour. The event will include “a step-by-step virtual tutorial by an expert mixologist on how to re-create the famous Hacienda Old Fashioned,” DACHS said.

Garnish packs for your Old Fashioned also will be available to purchase from Hacienda de Mesilla for $5. Garnish packs will include bourbon cherries, orange slices and sugar cubes for four drinks.
Hacienda de Mesilla will also be offering a steak-dinner box for two for $50 that includes ready-to-grill Arrachera marinated steak, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, s'mores for dessert, a mini Hibachi grill and grill fuel.
