OBITUARY

In Loving memory of Alfredo Chavez

Posted

Our beloved brother entered into his eternal rest August 26, 2022 in Tucson, AZ. Alfred was born in San Ysidro, NM, June 19, 1956 to Jennie Cabrera and Adan U. Chavez.

Proceeding him in death were his wife Darla Chavez and his parents Adan Chavez and Jennie Cabrera, brother Adam Chavez and sister Alva Chavez.

Alfred is survived by his son Joshua Chavez (Dee), grandson Gabriel Chavez, sisters Rosemary Jauregui (Tom), Viola Gonzalez, Gracie Giron, Jennie Marie Rutiaga, Christina Moabed (Mo), Consuelo Chavez, Virginia Hofer (Jeff), Carla Cabrera, Marco Antonio Cabrera (Cynthia) and many nieces and nephews.

He lived his life with a strong work-ethic, kindness, and integrity and served our country in the Army National Guard. He loved the outdoors, and would love to camp, hike, fish and plant gardens. Alfred worked as a truck driver and enjoyed traveling around the United States, seeing new places and meeting new people where ever he went. He would share many pictures of the places he visited as he traveled. He loved spending time with his family where there was never a shortage of home cooked meals and chile and sitting out on the porch listening to his favorite Spanish and Country music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
