Campaign ends Aug. 12

Jardin de los Niños childcare program for children and families struggling with homelessness is seeking donations for its 2021-22 back-to-school campaign.

“Every dollar donated supports the mission of Jardin de los Niños by creating new possibilities for homeless and near homeless children and their families through loving childcare, education, and the use of community resources,” Jardin said on its website.

Jardin serves children ages 0-3, pre-kindergarten and early pre-K and elementary-school-aged children.

In addition to monetary donations, Jardin is seeking the donations of these “tools and resources” to help children thrive during the school year: #2 pencils, pencil bags, wide-ruled composition notebooks, folders with pockets and 3-hole punched, crayons, markers, glue, glue sticks, pencil erasers, rulers with centimeters and inches, protractors, permanent markers, facial tissues, scissors (for all developmental stages), headphones and/or earbuds, technology supports, books and educational resources, disinfecting wipes, alcohol wipes and backpacks.
