Johnny Lee Harvey, 64

Posted

Johnny Lee Harvey passed away on March 4, 2025. He was born on September 7, 1960 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Marvin and Frankie Harvey, both deceased. He was a resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico for more than 40 years. He is survived by his loving husband of 34 years, Edward Aylesworth; sister Kim Graham; brother, Gary Harvey; two aunts, numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bonkers. He began his work life at Blake's Lotaburger, and ended his  career with 20 years of service as a CNA with Memorial Medical Center. Despite experiencing many serious health issues throughout his life, he had a warrior spirit that carried him through an active and joyful life.

John loved people. He particularly loved spending time with family and friends, of which he made many. A kind, generous, and outgoing man, John quickly made a friend of any stranger. As he traveled with Ed, he made lifelong friends of people he met on tours, cruises, and planes. He extended his love to animals, particularly dogs, and especially to the seven dogs he and Ed cherished throughout their time together. Sharing extraordinary cultural experiences with Ed, John traveled across the United States and throughout the world. Building these memories was one of his greatest passions. As a pastime and as therapy for an injured shoulder, John made jewelry, which he crafted with care and gifted to the many people he cared for and who cared for him. John loved to the fullest and he was loved to the fullest.
