'Junior Scientist: Rube Goldberg Challenge' take-home winter camp kit

The Museum of Nature & Science, 411 N. Main St., will offer a take-home “Winter Break Camp” kit in December.Kits are free but require reservation by December 11. To reserve kits please contact education@las-cruces.org or call 575/522-3120. Kits are available while supplies last.Rube Goldberg machines are chain-reaction machines inspired by cartoonist Rube Goldberg who drew elaborate, whimsical designs that overcomplicate simple tasks. Using the six activities provided, a person will create their own unique Rube Goldberg machine. This take-home winter break camp kit is fun for the whole family and best suited for ages 11 to 17.The Museum of Nature & Science is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
