La Tienda de Jardin has reopened

Posted

With the guidance of the New Mexico Department of Health and following directives from Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Jardin de los Niños has re-opened Tuesday, June 16, at 335 La Colonia St., at the southwest corner of Alameda Boulevard and Main Street.

Hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, said Jardin de los Niños Executive Director Michelle Adames. Donations will be accepted 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays and by appointment, Adames said. Proceeds from La Tienda benefit Jardin, which is located within the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope complex at 999 W. Amador Ave., provides childcare, education and other services for homeless and near homeless children.

“The health and well-being of our customers, volunteers and staff is at the forefront of our plans in re-opening,” she said. “As we re-open, we will keep our volunteers in our hearts, but will operate with only our store manager and Jardin staff. We love our volunteers and appreciate their understanding and patience.  Our volunteers are part of the Jardin family.”

“We will allow up to five customers into the store at a time and will follow social distancing practices,” Adames said. “We ask that all patrons follow the state's order of wearing a mask or face covering when entering the store. We will also include additional cleanings and sanitization policies and procedures.”

La Tienda features gently used women’s clothing and accessories, along with jewelry, dishes, housewares, antiques, collectibles and knickknacks, glassware and more at a fraction of retail cost.
