Esteemed Las Cruces artist Frank Peacock will have a new show at Doña Ana Arts Council Arts and Cultural Center, 1740 Calle de Mercado in the Bulletin Plaza, during the month of August.

“Orchards of Doña Ana County” will open Monday, Aug. 5, and continue through Friday, Aug. 30. Viewing hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The show will feature a selection of paintings and pastels from Peacock’s “Orchard Series of the Mesilla Valley.”

“This exhibit will continue with the pecan orchard theme which has dominated my subject matter for the last two years,” Peacock said.

An artist reception will be held at the Cultural Center from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Bill Kolbin provides piano entertainment from 5-6:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend, and the public is invited.
